Congrats on your purchase. So what company came up with the creative idea of boxing and selling those? Are they from the Royal Canadian Mint?
No our mint but it's the both of them coming together. This is my first purchase. I went to school in the US and lived with grandparents in Latchford Ontario holidays and summers here is the specifics.
the only part of my childhood at can remember is with my grandparents in Canada at least a good memories my time with my father was stressful to say the least so I got a soft spot for Canada even though I couldn't afford to live there and my father sold my grandparents place as soon as my grandmother passed away so I cant go back to Canada anyway had a beautiful place right on the water at a private beach a bay with a dock and a regular dock out towards open water there was a flat Rock right across from the cabin in my grandparents used to let me and my sister canoe over there with the neighbor kids and we set up a tent and they'd be watching us with binoculars but we were allowed to do it and I was so young and stupid I wasn't even afraid of bears you could not catch me doing that now lol. Here are a couple of my favorites especially seeing as how I'm 49 now and I was not 49 in those pictures LOL this is latchford Ontario Canada you think this town population was something like 1200 we had dirt roads the only road that was paid was the one that went through the town towards haileybury in New liskeard
Wow! Here's the link if anyone wants a set! Good pics and share of your childhood and you're not alone, my Dad was a complete a$$! Sounds and looks like some great memories for you! https://catalog.usmint.gov/on/deman...t/Search-Show?q=pride of two nations coin set
I haven’t opened mine yet. I am just going to mark the contents on the box and store them. I’m weird like that. I do, however, have another two sets on the way from the Mint (currently in Indianapolis), and will open those when they arrive this coming week
The only problem is that they’re no longer available. Did you click the link you posted? Because that’s what it has said for days.
There will be another offering for sure. When, I know not, but when the disgruntled guys send back their set because they think they won't grade out as '70s there will be a chance to pick up this offering......but you gotta be quick on the uptake. They won't last long, as the set is quite popular.....happened in 2014 with the baseball coins.
Absolutely, however, when I got one of the late year, second chance at the brass ring baseball coins, it had a spot. So it’s not just the ones that won’t grade out at 70 if you KWIM
Quite true Mike. I picked up a few extra, and the ugliest I turned into a pocket piece. Ain't too shabby with a bit o' wear.....
Yep, so true and I didn't even notice. Another way to get a set is buy the box on pebay and make your own. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-Pride...691879?hash=item2f339258a7:g:k6EAAOSwqeVdI0X5
