No one needs to step back and do anything. I will personally bump this thread to the top once per week if I have to. Goldcollector has been accused of something very serious and he needs to address it, and other members need to know he has been accused of stealing.

Again, we don't know if goldcollector did anything wrong. And it is very hard to determine if he did anything wrong. All we can observe is that garlicus accused goldcollector of stealing from him. Once I started this thread, goldcollector has never been back to the forum. Garlicus has also very meekly liked posts from me and others who have followed goldcollector around, but he has not really helped his own case by providing much of any information or evidence against goldcollector. But the fact that goldcollector has runaway [edited - please don't call people names] is very suspicious. He must face the allegations against him. If he doesn't, we must remind him and the board and all of its new, future members of this case.

I would expect that to get the thread locked after a few iterations. But we'll see.

I just don't want to see other members getting into a fuss as a result of this thread. We have good guys here taking jabs at each other. I know they are good guys. I have dealt with them personally. I could give a hoot about Goldcollector. I don't want to see good fellows getting caught up in this thing because it is an emotional subject.

That probably won't happen about facing the allegations.

One will hide from all public allegations, accusations, statements, etc of self representation to prevent any attention/ correlation/ connection to possible mail and wire fraud.

If you research other potential fraudsters from this or other boards you'll find something very much in common. A virtual blackhole of public comments about any accusation, etc about themselves. Normally a very thin veil of public comments scattered throughout the forum about a particular hobby/business, etc is done online to show an involvement/interest in the hobby/business as a predatory guise.

Thanks for your concerns, Randy. I've already moved on. As of yet, I still have very little context for this thread and don't feel I could weigh in on whether any sort of crime/rip-off took place. I believe it's time for me to unwatch the thread.

Ya, that double whatever is the reason for editing. That critic thinks I'm just a "commoner" named Dick that he can order around. The moderator knows I'm a person of respect, named Rich or Richard. That must be the reason, and I'm glad you explained. I now feel better knowing what that double thing is! As my critic stated, he determined I'm not humble. I appreciate that everyone except me understands what's happening.

I agree with Randy, that individuals may perceive my seemingly defensive posture and words as offensive criticism. I hope some realize it's just a Life-Long "Debate Team Captains" mechanism/exercise to hopefully evoke constructive thought in my opponent.

Thanks for your thought/suggestion Randy, as I also believe there may be two honorable individuals exchanging abnormal means of disagreement. I, for more than one, believe the efforts will cease. We are blessed to have this "open forum" with understanding moderators who do a great job. PEACE IS BEST!

Garlicus Debt is dumb, cash is king.

ok, so I’ll step into the fray again.

In 2015 he was a thief named silvereagle (same name and address where I sent the money)
    https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/934783/roll-of-2014-ases-350-shipped

In 2017 (and for years prior, as he was a ‘long time’ member here) he was/is @goldcollector

In 2019 he expressed a desire to get his name changed to platinum something or other. Looks like he’s trying to climb the ladder, lol.

I’ve come to terms with this, it’s been 2 years. And honestly, it’s not the $115, it’s the fact that I hate liars and thieves. My motto is: truth, honor and respect.
And while I may forgive, I never forget....and sometimes, I can even get even.

Everyone just needs to calm down, but be aware.

Yep! I have no doubt that sleaze ball ripped you off! Unfortunately not much we can do about it, but we did all we could. :D Point is, he hasn't been back for quite awhile. He's gone now so the mission was partly successful! :D

He mentioned in another thread dealing with a Seattle, WA coinshop. Without publicly revealing his full address, can you please reveal his city so other members can exercise extreme caution when dealing with anyone from that same city.

No one ordered you around, I wasn't even talking to you when I posted the request for the link to the original discussion. This reminds me of a song.

My message was for @myownprivy , whose bullion threads I have read and posted on quite often.
Sorry @Randy Abercrombie I said I was done, but I'm not going to sit here and let someone publicly mind read (despite claiming to be good at debate) and insult me with ad hominem (despite claiming to be good at debate).

"Rich", you made false assumptions when you first responded:
    1. I was talking to you
    2. I was providing an order
    3. I was proclaiming myself new to anything other than the discussion at hand
    4. I don't know how the moderators operate
    5. I was conducting some sort of "charade"

I take full responsibility for my own failure to communicate effectively and make clear what I was saying and asking for; I posted that in haste and should've taken more time to clarify that I was new to the discussion about this alleged event and was hoping to get a link to the original discussion as clearly large pieces of information were missing. Turns out there was another post about this elsewhere (validating my assumption).

I will not, however, sit here and let someone try to talk down to me because of it. Go ahead and respond with some more fluffy sentences about how you're just an innocent man who was drug into this and treated unfairly. I'm happy to walk away from a disagreement, but I will not sit quietly when people attack me. You made incorrect assumptions about my intentions and my understandings. Instead of accepting that you might have erred, you instead responded offensively and tried to hide your vitriol under pedantic rhetoric. I've owned up to my mistakes, time for you to do the same, or at least stop.

WHEW .. I really like reading these constructive criticism in these very educated people arguments. I use to argue with Company Officials over violations of the job and they were civil for the most part.. Then there are ones that got out of hand. It use to be settled out in parking lot in the ole days I was told in the sixties.. glad I missed it.

I've apologized to you on multiple occasions during this thread for your sensitivity to my believed objective posts, but do owe an apology to those who've read our trash with disgust, and especially Randy who has interceded positively throughout

The thread was started based on a negative hypothesis towards an individual who may be guilty of something, as many posters, but hasn't been formally charged.

Randy pleaded in numerous posts, early as #5, and throughout for calm, with minimal results. I would not have posted except it's believed that randy made an incorrect statement in #12, supported in #14, where I posted a believed correction in #43, with a poster referenced same as: "I saw what you did there....and I agree." in #83, you stated/demanded "I’m new to this. Link to the original Thread showing details of being ripped off?" in the following post #84 without referencing a post or individual, where I gave a believed adequate explanation in #85 ....

If you have any additional comments that are felt to need a response, please PM me, and I'll arrange an independent mediation session. Our communication misunderstandings shouldn't be public or require site moderation. Mediation may establish a requirement for changes, as Randy so patiently impossibly requested.

Thank you Randy for your objective attempted intervention, that's believed to be appreciated by virtually all in "attendance". You're a true "Gentleman"!

You've not once apologized for what you screwed up, which was misunderstand my comments. I offered you an olive branch by admitting where I erred. Instead of accepting it and doing the same, or at the very least walking away, you took another opportunity to take a shot at me. I see right through your smug and narcissistic responses. You've made this all about you, when it never was about you to begin with. Perhaps you're bored, perhaps you're other things. You've spent the entire time insulting me and patting yourself on the back at the same time. You claim to be done but turn around and insult me some more, slipping in a premise that this is about my sensitivity, when you took such great offense to my "demand" that you felt the need to treat me as your "opponent". I most appreciate that you display your response publicly but then demand that I PM you. Next time you have something to say, feel free to take your own advice PM me.

    Negative.

#83 was myself and I was referring to your implied reference to politicians, who, in my opinion, all belong in prison, and nothing more.
