Let's see all the poured stuff you have. I'm assuming most of this will be silver, but nobody will say no if you have a poured gold bar to show off! Monarch, Engelhard, YPS, whatever you have!
Interesting to me how most I see now have a round number listed for their weight, but if these things are mass produced, I'm sure there is variability. Rte and Ana, yours are some of the first I've seen with more specific weight markings! I'm hoping to get my first poured within the next few months
Collectors pay a premium for the odd-sized (odd-weighted) bars. I hear that people counterfeit them by coating a base metal with a precious metal. I would be more suspicious of gold since it is less common to see poured gold bars and because of the price of gold. Less poured gold bars because 24-karat gold has a 1,945-degree F melting point; pure silver is 1,761 degrees, which makes it easier to pour silver bars.
Have been trying to build a JM 10 Oz collection both poured and cast but There very difficult to identify especially the poured as many designs Are nearly identical.
