Huh. I hadn't heard a word of that. I only see stories about a Denver initiative; what's the state's policy?
If one looks closer. What was legalized was micro doses that do not affect a person in the way that they are taken by someone experimenting. Over a period of time the micro doses will slightly change a person and help them with PTSD, depression ect. I do believe this was on a medical level not recreational.
Not exactly sure how "deprioritizing prosecution" maps to "tax dollars", except that Denver will presumably be spending less of them prosecuting people for a non-addictive, possibly-therapeutic "vice"...
I do love a good judgmental crowd without all the facts! Anyways, not that i need to explain but the shop this took place by is actually located on a street as opposed to a center so parking is all street side. This particular day I was parked about a half a block DOWN THE STREET, ACROSS THE STREET, well away from said shop...multiple business’s away, which is where transaction took place. So if that’s not ok to buy them there, then where is? Where do you draw the line? A block and a half away? A mile away? Also I am friends with the owner, have done business with him for years and I’ve told him about every time someone has offered me coins and whether or not I’ve bought them. He could care less as long as he has first dibs..which he did! That’s the perk of establishing a good relationship with an owner. I would not have bought them if he was on the way in to offer them to the owner, that’s not my style. He told me he already offered them but it wasn’t enough for what he wanted, the owner offered less than melt even though he didn’t really want them, because he was WAY oversupplied which I found out later. Again, I was not intending to even buy gold that day..or I would have just asked the shop...but started shooting the breeze with seller who I know well also from seeing him at the shop and he told me he was heading back in to buy a few rolls of silver and that he had been there earlier to offer gold which he passed on. One thing led to another. End of story. So if you want to keep scolding and acting holier than thou in this thread, go ahead, but you’re not teaching this old dog any new tricks. I meant no disrespect towards the owner or anyone else. I would never do business or talk shop inside the store even though some do try..I will shut it down. But if I’m on the street and I dont mean in front of the shop, as far as I’m concerned it’s a free market. I do like the direction this has taken the last few posts though! Haha!! Peace.
Nothing Personal except to the posters that questioned how they were acquired. Too each his own is how I was taught. Nice coins at melt. If you make sure you are honest with the dealer, who else should care.
Well Put. Probably could have added some of that info in the original post. No worries, sounds like you have a good relationship with the owner SO NO party foul I bought some coins from a lady in the parking lot of a shop in another town that was closed when I went to check the shops stuff out. I don't feel bad about it and would do it again...the seller was more then happy with my offer, even asked if I had a Business card or something. I told her Nope just passing through myself...in hindsight I should have given her my number.
