Meow has just found the second Silver coin CRH in 2019. About a month ago Meow found a silver quarter, and today another. It is Meow's 9th silver quarter found since starting CRH a little over a year ago. Meow is very happy with the new addition to the Cat hoard.

Meow bought a 60 slot coin album just to fill with silver CRH finds. The results from a little over a year CRH are 2 silver nickels, 8 dimes (one is in a special holder because it was so nice), and 9 quarters. Meow really hopes one day to fill all 60 slots with CRH found silver. Good luck to all to with their CRH, may silver bless us all with regularity!

Nice find. It's possible to fill up your album. Takes time. Maybe you will get lucky and find an entire roll of silver. It happens!

Have you found a whole roll of silver CRH before? If Meow could continue with the luck finding silver, it could be filled in five years or so.

    I wish!
There have been a few threads of people finding all silver rolls. I have seen a few legit Youtube videos on such finds also.

I do keep all my siver quarters and dimes I have metal detected in a seperate album. I have maybe about 12 different silvers.

Meow figures filling it with Silver Meow bought on fleabay would not be the same as a book filled only with CRH silver. Its just not the same. Meow wishes Meow could Metal detect too. But Meow lives in a middle of the city, and anywhere worth metal detecting would be very frowned upon. The news report would say: Cat arrested today for digging up historical items on state owned historical sites.

Meow would just love to CRH and Metal detect all day. But Meow has only so much spare cash to get rolls. And nowhere to metal detect. If one day Meow became wealthy, look out. The local banks will run out of coins. A sign at every branch will say, "We are sorry we do not have any coin rolls available at this branch, as a wealthy Cat has hoarded them all."

Meow's dream would be to have a armored car full of coins delivering its entire load to Meow's Cat hoard. And that is no idle threat. :cat:

There was a post earlier this week of a fellow getting a roll of silver quarters. And with the Great American Coin Hunt kicking off next week. I would say the possibilities would increase exponentially.

We don't. But believe me when I say this.. There are plenty of parks and beaches to detect here in NYC!
With our Detecting permits we are given a list of parks and beaches that are permitted.

It's too bad that you didn't start CRHing when you were 30. Back then, it wasn't unusual to find 10 or more rolls of 90% & 40% Kennedy halves each year.

Meow needed something to do, and picked up CRH last year to keep busy. And Meow too regrets not starting it many years ago. But it has kept Meow very busy filling the state quarter albums, and ATB ones. And Meow has also started a wheat penny album recently too. And since there is a new quarter every few months, it gives this Cat something new to look for. Only the second Lowell quarter found today, and Meow likes to make as many rolls of what can be found BU or very close to BU in tubes.

Nice find! How many rolls did you go through to find it?

Meow goes through about 10 rolls of quarters a week on average. Not quite sure how many in total, but has kept most of the wrappers. Meow uses the wrappers as scratch paper, and there is a box full of them in the Cat hoard. All grocery lists and reminders are all written on coin wrappers.

Here is a picture of about 3/4 of all the machine wrappers Meow has. And also the pic shows about a 1/10th of Meow's hand wrapped rolls, as the majority are in a box somewhere in the Cat hoard. P1030164.JPG

Wonder how many wrappers Meow has in all? 100s for sure, could it be over a thousand? Maybe not that much, but in the hundreds. About 50% quarter, 42% Penny, 5% nickel, and 3% dime wrappers.

As all can see, Meow is a bit obsessed with CRH. Too bad Meow does not have much money, as Meow would like to get rolls by the barrel. Paws can only hold so many at one time.
The most Meow ever carried at one time was about 15 quarter 50 penny, 10 dime, and 10 nickel rolls in a very sturdy bag; And walked about half a mile to get it home. It was a bit hard on the paws, so Meow changed between paws often.
