I'm genuinely curious. It's on a terror!!! It used to be under platinum and well under gold.

Now palladium today is showing at 1300 an oz!

    New technology demands? Market shorts?

    Chinese and Russian hackers?

    Space Aliens? :android:

Its the new Gold, dont you know ! , i saw a real spike right around the
Time of the release of the U.S Palladium Eagle, now its soaring, just
Alot of new investors out there looking for a place to put there money,
    Maybe one of the reasons.

It may be a bit premature to come to any long-term conclusions about palladium, considering the crazy volatility of virtually any investment market now. But it is interesting.

I read a report about a week ago, China developed a way to modify an ion in copper to make it behave like gold for electrical connections.

I think it's the tail wagging the dog. The creation of the palladium eagle itself spiked demand for the metal.

The same effect that keeps silver from collapsing to $5-$6 is pumping up palladium - sequestering metal in coins.

So, a, who has sold any palladium lately? And how close to spot were you paid for it?

I have a Palladium Eagle proof that I only purchased because of a morning email from one of the big dealers guaranteeing $200 bucks above purchase price...I was busy at work and didn’t get around to selling it to them that week, so I still have it. I like it, but I am thinking maybe I should consider selling it, since palladium is up and coin is still hot. Do you think I should get it graded and try for a 70? I’ve never sent a coin to be graded, so kind of intimidated about the process...

If you submitted it early, got First Strike PF70DCAM, you could have gotten 3k on eBay. Not bad for maybe $1500 for the coin and grading.

I own a whopping 2 grams of palladium right now. I bought 5 grams a long time ago when I smelted the gold to make my wife's wedding ring.

But I remember paying about $28 a gram for it - so I'm rich! :)

But getting anything graded is just a "Crap Shoot" sometimes you win
Almost all the time you lose !! its very subjective and you could have
Two experts and they say completely different things, take from a
    Man of experience.

Yeah but, in this case, it’s not really. 90.07% of those submitted to PCGS, got PF70DCAM. As for the First Strike part, just don’t open the box when the coin arrives and you’re set. I sold mine for $500 over issue, if I would have know this was an option, I would have sent mine in. Live and learn.

If you didnt know, these are just "Buzz Words" TPG,S use to extract money
From your wallet, First Day of issue, First Strike i mean come on, Really...LOL

Yes I do know. And the extracting money from your wallet is exactly what I should have done. It might be a bit more to get a special label, but if it mean more profit in the end...

I've got a 1987 Bermuda 1oz proof palladium OGP...I paid $1025.00 for it a few years back...Is there any premium over spot for these? This is one of the first palladium coins ever struck. It's at my "sell" threshold at $1300...any thoughts?
