3 Drawings this month !!! I'm gasted to my flabber !!! I bet the special coin was minted in 1757 ! - Here's some Noah details to flood you with. During the reigns of 5 Roman Emperors, a period of 61 years (AD 192 - 253), "Imperial Rome produced a series of now-rare bronze coins, depicting Noah's Ark - the first known coins depicting a biblical scene." Has one of our experts on Middle East coins any depicting the Ark ? Or even Mr. Noah ? If so, any chance of photos ? :jimlad:

Nope, I don't have any sadly... But if I get the chance to buy one, I may buy it! I like any part of biblical history!

Good idea ! There are various outlets for such coins, maybe via a Coin Magazine or online, in a Coin Exhibition, or even a local Coin Club. Wishing you luck, and who knows ?, maybe even a friend on CoinTalk might know something !!! :vulcan:

There is a photo of Noah in the original post.

And I gave away a silver bullion coin with Noah's Ark on it in last January's giveaway.

As to experts on Middle East coins, I dunno. I am definitely NOT one.

Photobucket has slid so far down into the slimy suck that I avoid it like the plague it has become. That's very tragic, considering how good it used to be, once upon a time. They managed to totally ruin it and make it unusable. I'd have paid them a small fee to maintain it as it was, but since they've become so sleazy (look at some of those popup ads!), I bailed on them and won't pay them one red cent.

That giant, obstructive watermark they plastered over your coin seems to be a recent symptom of their diseased business tactics.

Hey, that's a cool counterstamped DB half, though. Nice!

Thanks so much for your generous Giveaways, lordmarcovan ! Also to others who have shared some of their "treasure", such as Noah Finney. I wasn't aware that a silver bullion coin, of the Ark, had graced a Giveaway. Someone would have had a very special birthday. And let's hope, by hook or by crook, Noah, sooner or later is awarded a Noah coin. That has to be the will of the gods !!! :jimlad:

@Nas won that one in last January's giveaway. They're pretty affordable, especially considering how large and impressive looking they are. When I bought the one for the giveaway and saw it, I kind of wished I'd ordered one for myself.

PS- you're right- @Noah Finney needs a Noah's Ark coin. We'll have to do something about that. ;)

Yours is a sight better than mine. Mine didn't cost me anything, though. I dug it up while detecting at an old meeting house site in North Carolina.

It was surprisingly shallow in the ground, right in the grassroots, barely half an inch deep. This was the case with another half dime on a plantation site in Georgia.

Apparently the really small coins like this did not always sink very deeply into the ground. I've dug similarly shallow 1830s buttons on some sites.

Ha, ha, ha. I didn't have my morning coffee and was still trying to get used to writing 2019. Thanks. I've edited it.

Sorry, I missed the detail about the Roman Noah's Ark coins you mentioned. Never heard of these. Would love to see pictures of such.

I just noticed that has the "1/000" error in the fraction. Those are cool.
