    FANTASTIC year, and wonderful lineup Gene! GREAT coins, very much in my bailiwick! I would really enjoy them ALL in my collection! Big thanks for posting, as they are all coins I really enjoy... (I won't compete with you on the weights, though... :))

    I had looked several times at an EL Bruttium Shekel... I feel that was Carthage / Hannibal's SLAM at the Romans...

    ( I JUST posted these, but not sure if folks noticed...)

    Rome had a Janus / Quadrigatus AR coin that DEVALUED in silver content as the War wore on with them - they had 3 devastating battles within 18 months that Hannibal inflicted over 100,000 DEATHS on the Legions. This caused a drain in manpower, drained the treasury, and caused massive panic in Rome.

    I like your Janus/Quadrigatus coins. The incuse ROMA coin is a great example of the type. I have looked at a couple of billon and copper core examples, but have not bit yet.
