I've read many articles about millennials and their savings habits. here's a few from public Marketwatch (my subscription sites can't share, so I always look for similar articles on public sites). ==> https://www.marketwatch.com/story/h...0s-and-30s-are-reluctant-to-invest-2018-05-14 ==> https://www.marketwatch.com/story/w...d-talk-about-saving-for-retirement-2018-05-16
Yeah, that is sort of how I understood it and what I have seen anecdotally. Millennial's saw their parents get crushed, and the parents never taught them HOW to save/invest. Hopefully they will learn
You can eat Bananas. You can't eat PMs. of course this excludes BananaCoin Crypto, which you can't eat either.
Maybe not for long 99% of bananas grown commercially ( Cavendish) are from clone bananas and are susceptible to a fungal disease which destroys them. the disease fungus is growing in area and becoming more resistant to the heavy spraying multiple times a month in many areas ( besides increased human exposure) and there are reasonable concerns the edible banana of olden days will disappear unless the plants are genetically modified. I see the nice yellow Cavendish in the market separated ( with different prices) into Organic and Not organic and wonder what will happen with GMO the norm. Maybe when GMO , make the, rainbow colored ( there are bananas of multiple color genes) for the kiddies. Buy long term Banana futures!
The only commercial selling spot for bananas in the continental United States was La Conchita which sold bananas they grew there until 1998...inquiring minds want to know... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Conchita,_California
if you google "banana" and "fungus" you'll find out that they have been having problems with a fungus wiping out many banana farms. I came across it last year when I initially jokingly posted about the bananacoin crypto. prices at the store haven't deviated though, so they must be doing okay. Now Gold and Silver on the otherhand have a valuation virus going around.
Well I guess the bullion dealers have got their contracts all set up in case it continues to drop. If usual business, the buy back margin will increase and the sell price will ride down. IMO.
Gold ETF outflows continue on too at #4 I mostly follow them just for stock ETF flows but Gold and Silver ETFs are normally present too.

It is interesting that this dive seems to have started around the time people had learned the inflation rate is the highest since 2012 and the deficit is at the highest also, a bad combination that usually might stimulate PM, Halloween is coming
