[Ancients] It’s Time! The Second Annual Coin Imperator Tournament (2018)

This is the reason I almost didn't enter. Well that and I am going to be really busy over the next month or so. But I decided to give it a try anyways.

Not really expecting to get far myself and am looking forward to seeing some nice coins. Hopefully going learning A LOT from this contest too.

I wasn't sure what to play in the first round against you. I had a different coin and a few paragraphs sitting in my response to @Curtisimo ; then deleted all of it and played a different one. Still not sure if I made the correct choice. I've thought about strategy for hours; people are asking me why I'm quiet at work.

 

My coin has also been chosen and is in @Curtisimo email. I don't have very many ancient coins yet so what coin to play was a fairly easy choice for me.

Don't let Mont lull you into a false sense of security... he is sneaky good at this game and his coin is great... as is iamtiberius's entry. You two are going to have an EXCELLENT match!

What has surprised me most so far in the tournament is how formidable some of the new (or new to ancients) members first round coins and write ups are going to be.

@Curtisimo, can we get an updated tournament bracket? I understand there have been some changes.

 

@TIF I'm really interested in seeing how you are laying out your bracket winners ... It sounded like you might share your bracket?

 

I don't even know what that means I'm not a sports enthusiast and only have passing knowledge of these brackety thingies for sports playoffs. I just meant that at least one person has dropped out of the competition and at least one other has been substituted and I wanted to see the new pairings.

I thought I'd try to fill in my predictions but I'm already feeling bad about touting Zumbly for the win. It puts stress on him and slights the other competitors (this is why I'm not into sports ).

 

I will update shortly when I post the links to the first four matches (will have to edit the bracket when I'm off work). In short the changes are minor and only effect @Severus Alexander 's match up.

I have seen the coins and can't accurately predict the winners!

Oh, and @zumbly will just have to man up! He will feel better when his Nike contract clears after the tournament

I heartily endorse Nike and look forward to producing my own Nike merch after I win this thing. Naturally, @TIF will help on the creative side since she owes me for laying on all that added stress .
