Sounds very fun but I think no point for me to participate as a beginner, I own only a couple of coins and these coins are quite common and not "extra" special, at least in a numismatic point of view.

 

I'm all in.

Don't forget you might win one or more rounds : you could then keep the same coin as an entry or chosse another one from your collection (at least it's how it worked last year)

Edit : Oh, and any coin is good enough for such a tournament as it's not the financial value of the coin that counts the most. We also have to take into account its historical value, the "value for money" and eye appeal as well

Would be cool if we got 32 players or even a full bracket of 64 competitors to make it a full tournament!

 

Our mighty Imperator has decided to retire to the provinces, Diocletian style, to work on his cabbages well played sir... well played!

It is against CoinTalk rules to put any kind of a monetary restriction for games which is why that limit from last year was eliminated... so any coin from 2017 or 2018 in your collection is fair game!

The game is all about having fun and getting everyone interacting with each other... not winning! In addition, last year showed that a strategically placed bargain coin with a well reasoned write up could hold its own against even the most beautiful of specimens. If you wish to play you are welcome too... if not I hope you will still comment and vote in the polls!

I've got you both down! I've had a few people PM me that they would like to play as well. I count 21 participants as of now. I am going to up the target to 24. This means that some people will have a bi-week and some people will play an extra round based on seeding. If we have an odd number of people that want to play I'll throw in a coin but not advance.

Of course there are some members I will make sure have a place in the tournament no matter what... looking at you @Mikey Zee ... miss you buddy

...and the other participants breath a sigh of relief knowing two CT titans will be watching from the sideline hopefully you will both comment and vote still though! Reply or send me a PM if you change your mind! Spots will be reserved for either of you.
