I'd like honest answers if people are willing to share them. I won't share total ounces, because that's too much personal info. But, I did some calculations and my PMs are about 9.5% of all my monetary worth. Yours?
PMs are 2.43% Coin Collection is 2.28% % keeps going down becz my investments are growing too fast, which isn't a bad problem to have. Plus I haven't really bought PMs nor coins in a while anyways. It all comes down to what you are comfortable in holding as assets, not really the percentage. Percentage may be a good initial target, but there's a large variance depending upon what you net worth actually is.
Something really REALLY close to zero, as a percentage. Certainly well under 1. I trust the U.S. dollar much more than I trust metals traders. Yes, Daniela Cambone is still compelling, but that only goes so far. Besides, a traditional old world style defined benefit pension alters things quite a bit.
Around 8%. That's because I count the silver and gold in my coin collection as part of my savings. Not sure I'll ever sell them, though.
Not counting my coin collection (so just bullion), about 5%, although some of that bullion is more collectible so may be worth more
Hmm, pm would be much lower than my collection and books I imagine. I guess collection and books around 10%, and PM around 5%, (maybe less). However, when I talk about my "net worth", I NEVER include my coin collection. Its my hobby, and I have no intention of selling, so it is not really an asset to me. My kids or wife may have it as an asset someday, but not me.
About 10% Bullion that I would consider investments , not counting my coin & currency collections as investments as i may not sell any of it anyway.

Asking in the bullion forum, or even a coin web site will get you pretty skewed results. Mine is about 0.01%
Without crunching the numbers, I will say about 20%, not counting my coin collection. I don't trust the dollar as much as I used to.
.043%; who needs PMs when you have a booming economy! ( Edited: political) My holdings in PMs have nearly doubled since 2011, but the overall value has stayed the same.
I am surprised that a gang of treasure lovers like us coin collectors seems to be so shy about holding on to a big stash of gold and/or silver. I wouldn't mind having a whole truck load of gold!
