wow is that rare? I've never seen that version before.

 

Unfortunately, Johnson Matthey did not put serial numbers on there poured early
Varieties so sometimes its a best guess, here,s one that i have that is close to the
above, since the maker stamp is so far to the left it could be one of three different
Ones,

The far right example, would be a close match has a 2,000 reported
Population.

 

Here's my little stash. The poured ones are all different types, identified by the spacing between the fineness digits and one is stamped on the reverse side of the bar .

 

Really nice JM,S , i really wish they had used serial numbers on the early poured versions, as the spacing variations can be very slight so sometimes you dont know
