There are a lot of things I'd like to do with platinum if its price were closer to that of copper, or even silver. It's about as close to inert as a metal can get.

Indium and gallium are quite useful, too, but a bit pricey at present.

I like Platinum as well how ever it is the only PM that is in the minus since 2010
-3 % it use to be the major player on the block however it has slipped now behind
    Palladium in price.

Gold and silver are traditional as bullion metal. Platinum had a climb because of catalytic converters, but if regulations for fossil fuels decrease that and alternate source transportation become more widespread, I suspect platinum will continue to lose ground to Gold and silver. Jim

Heavy metals can only be created from a supernova. All kinds of deposits can be on these asteroids.
How did the gold and silver get into the earths crust? It had to be out in space, remnants of a dead star, in the proto planet debris when the sun and solar system were formed.
There could be some on the other terrestrial planets in our system as well.

    what exactly is your question?
We all look at several places. Just go through the CheckOut to get the shipping prices and use those prices as comparison to other places.

There's only a few places I would buy from regularly; others have sales that are better.

Not sure if you buy Gov't Mint coins, third party rounds, bars, etc?

Buffalo's, anything that is GOLD... Saving 5 - 10 bucks is no big deal... Been Buying from Apmex, and going to give wholesale direct a shot.
Investments, anything I can sell back in a few years for 5x
