    That’s not really to bad of a price. The design isn’t that great though compared to some of the others that have been done in the past

    How exactly does it do that, other than showing the Moon...?

    Flown stuff from Shuttle missions is way cheaper. I agree tying it to the moon landing is dumb if the coin doesn't show anything about it. My guess is they wanted to tie the image on the coin to the material it contains which is from the shuttle program.

    The ISS didn’t exist when STS-85 flew (at least it wasn’t in space yet) but the fragment is from that flight.

    The colorized proof obverse, features the shuttle approaching the moon, a satellite in the background and several stars.
    Should have said "Manned Satellite".

    Yeah, I saw that. I might be interested in the scene depicted had ANYTHING to do with reality. But, that's not how it is.

    Next years may be interesting also, says it's gonna be made with copper from the statue of liberty.

    I think the coin is supposed to represent the Three major achievements made by the USA in space.
