    Hello,

This is my first post on this forum and I'm looking for some help finding out where to get a brick of uncirculated $1's (preferably plastic wrapped) in Richmond, Virginia. I already have an account at a major bank in the area, but after going to the main branch and talking to the manager, he told me that it wasn't possible. I decided to ask here because someone had made a post asking the same question back in 2012 and got some answers but no conclusive results. Also interesting to see that most of the eBay posts and youtube videos that I found had new bills from the Richmond Reserve. Can anyone living in the Richmond area with experience provide any useful information? or just anyone with experience?

Most banks and even the middle man services that transport, insist that the bills be counted on their machines. Record keeping.

Hmmm, How do people get the bricks to sell on eBay then? And what about the guy in the video who got it directly from his bank?

Can you look at the beginning and ending serial number and determine if there is a fancy serial in there? Are there 1000 in order?
You can always just go to your bank and get 100. 1000 seems like a lot.

call around to Credit Unions / banks.
I can actually get one from my CU. BUT they will open it and count it. Maybe if you ask nicely about getting the wrapping too.

My "large" bank won't give me sequential, uncirculated strapped $1 or any denomination. But my CU will (they'll count it though still in the straps).

B of A, Wells Fargo, Suntrust, BB&T, and other Nationwide chains will accommodate account holding customers. Ask for the head Teller or Branch Manager and discuss it with him/her. Make sure that you state that you want Unopened new BEP bricks with labels in tact.
    Good Luck.

I wonder why they count. If they buy it as a brick and see it to you as a brick then they are not out anything.

I don't know .. but they'll count it in the back room and then tell you that they've counted it. I've had to wait for them to count one in the back room. Plus they count the regular uncirc bundles too either in front of me or in the backroom.

Quality Control process I guess. I really don't care. I just like to collect money. The fresher the better :) goes right back in the SDB anyways.

If you get this sealed brick, are you going to open it, or leave it sealed?

    Most likely leave it sealed.

Managers always have special relationships they trust. Maybe the receipient pays a premium to cover the bank, maybe they have a million dollar account , business or personal, maybe relatives, but banks expect con jobs all the time, so they count incoming and outgoing.
