I’ve been collecting them since 1998. Always enjoy the designs even when they don’t change!! Never had milk spot issues with this series.

I’ve never owned a .999 silver coin that got milk spots while in my possession. Then again, I’ve ALSO never owned a .999 silver coin that has ever been in PCGS plastic, either. Coincidence?

Coincidence. I’ve had raw ones spot on me. I don’t touch silver US mint proofs anymore until they’re several years old because of it

I collected them until 2013. Before than I got one every year and still have them.

I honestly believe it has a lot to do with where you reside / your coins reside.

I lived further inland in an extremely arid climate, coins never spotted. Now I'm on the coast; I've had my coins spot. Philharmonics, Eagles, doesn't matter. Some in Airtites, others not. No affect.

I've put those silica packs into my deposit box, but time will tell... I accept I have no other evidence or science to back my point, however.

It would be interesting to see a map of where the majority of certain mints' coins are sold. For example Canada has a really bad stigma with milk spots, but I wonder if a large portion of those with Canadian mint coins live in a high humidity area? Or if mints with a better reputation are just selling to individuals who live in more arid climates? I picture something like a map of NFL teams' fans by region... Again, only hypothesizing...
