Who likes silver Britannias?

These seem like the oddball of the government-issued silver bullion world for a couple reasons:
    #1 the design changes annually
#2 Until 2013, they were 95.8% silver (and a bigger weight and diameter to reach one full ounce). Since then, they are 999 silver (and a small total size to reach 1 ounce of silver.)

Who else buys Britannias, and what do you have?

I liked them before 2013, but now that they have stopped changing designs, they aren’t as appealing. Plus this is another series that is prone to milk spots.

At a few dollars over spot (prices similar to Maples, Philharmonics, Eagles), these are ok, but I would not pay any more for the new ones.

    Currently I only have 1 (I believe a 2013).

    The designs still change:
    2016: https://www.apmex.com/product/93738/2016-great-britain-1-oz-silver-britannia-bu
    2017: https://www.apmex.com/product/102462/2017-great-britain-1-oz-silver-britannia-bu

I have had Silver Maples milk spot, but so far no problem with Britannias.

The fields changed but the main design (Britannia herself) is still the same. It is not like before where they were completely different (although some designs did repeat) or like Perth kookaburras and koalas (which continues to change completely every year).

And I agree that milk spots aren’t as big of a concern as with maples, but they do happen. In 2016 I ordered a proof/reverse proof Britannia set from Apmex and the reverse proof had already began spotting (Apmex did make things right and accept a return on that set as it was marketed as a premium product).

I'm no silver hoarder, but my son is a committed Anglophile, so I make sure he gets a new Brit every year.

I love the 2017 design. Not something I would get more than one of though.

At these silver price levels, I'm not sure there's ANYTHING I would buy more than one of. After all, we're not at mid-1990's prices any more. THEN, I was buying multiples.

I don't own any Brit's, Kook's, Maple's, etc. and only a few SAE's, but I will tell you this........If silver went up in price to $50+ an ounce, I would sell them all in a heartbeat.

I collect the Britannia by designs. The only one I don't have is the 2014 Proof. When I can find one at a price I can afford, I'll have it. I also have some of the varieties such as the snake and horse privys and the 2017 Anniversary issue. Beautiful series to collect.

I like them, but just one of each design. (not including field varieties)
I have a cool set (2012 25th anniversary silver proof portrait set) that features 9 different designs in 1/2 oz. silver. Not purchased as bullion, rather as a collector set.
Here it is. (Not great pics)

I'd never really taken much stock of them until now. The designs looks great. Thanks for posting. I've only got two that I picked up in spot promotions during the last year.

They are incredibly attractive (the design) but I wish they weren't so shiny. Plus the milk spots are no fun. Oh well. I have one or two I think.

Is there a difference between the 2018 and 2017? Was going to order a 2018 but the background looks just like my 2017.

At least it looks the same on JM and Apmex sites as of now.

Mintage is a little lower on the 2018 for the collector version

Yes, that's a great deal! Another good deal is on Provident you can buy random year Britannias for $18 each. However, I am awaiting my first order to ensure they are in good condition. However, I like the mystery a bit. I am currently just filling an airtite tube of 20 with various Britannias, so the date doesn't matter to me.
