I am seeing good deals out there on rounds that have no private Mint Mark. I am hesitant to buy because their is no recognition of where they came from. Anyone feel the same way?

I'm willing to buy them but only at a lower premium.

$.29 over is not bad for some fresh ones.

Not thrilled unless I can prove who issued them. Silvertowne has the poorest designs and dies in the bullion industry, so they're not proud of them and don't want to sign them.

Makes sense. Those are pretty ugly.

    Why would you bother, guys?

Why create a hassle for yourselves when it comes time to resell or trade?

Careful. My neighbor bought 2 silver bullion coins at a flea market and they were fake. Weight test, magnet test or paper scrape for lead test. JM Bullion wouldnt sell you fakes though. I'd skip the no mint hassel altogether.

I'd pick them up at spot or slightly over, but only when they are cheap.

I'd encourage you to take a few of those random, unmarked silver rounds to a coin shop and sell a few. Then report back with what you get paid.

    hahahahahahahahahaha

Yeah, the point of this thread was to see who would buy these. I wouldn't but at $.29 over it crossed my mind. Is it that hard for a private mint to put some sort of mark ID on it?

Coin shops will likely still underpay for these, BUT this is a great suggestion because the average buyer you would directly sell to can verify it is real (ebay, in person, etc). So, depending on your selling plans, if you plan to go the ebay route, this is a good generic buy.

It’s not hard at all. It’s just whether or not they want to

Fakes could be made with the same marks.

    What marks?

Your language use is imprecise and you do not quote a post when responding, so what marks are you talking about? Are you talking about private mint marks? If so, yes, those could be faked.
Are you talking about the Sunshine bars discussed in the posts above? If so, those security marks can not be as easily faked.
