Why don't we discuss building underground bunkers where the zombies can't get us, because that is tangentially related to "stacking" or investing in bullion, too, huh?

Actually, on that matter, there's this really great Android/IOS game called Plants vs Zombies. You can collect silver and gold in that game to buy things for your garden to help defend against Zombies.

I can discuss that here because it's a bullion forum, right?

    Yeah! Rah rah! Bit coin!

You suppose you could be a little more obnoxious if you put your mind to it?

So I bought some BitCoin. $100 worth. Went up to $125 or whatever worth. Cool. I placed an order on a popular and reputable bullion dealer site for 5 1 oz 999 ASEs, order came to $102.85. Paid them in BitCoin. With BitPay fees that rose to $114 total.

Get a message back, I underpaid and they would be refunding what I sent. They did. But there were fees for that too, and now my BitCoins are worth $85. Meanwhile, BitCoin has gone UP during this elapsed time.

So, I'm dumping all my BitCoin to buy a cat, then maybe shoot the cat. Nah. That'd be mean. I'll just convert it back to USD then buy some toilet paper, before it totally goes down the crapper.

I've seen firsthand TWO different people sell their silver bullion to buy bitcoin. One of them was a few hours ago, $70K worth of silver to buy bitcoin.

Crazy stuff. I just can't see buying in at these prices... It was $8,300 earlier when I checked.

Money can still be made at these prices but I do agree it’s a tough risk to stomach at this level for most people.

Agreed, I keep wanting to go in with $1,000 but that's not a lot of Bitcoin and it's still unstable. It just keeps going up and driving me crazy.

My biggest thing with it right now is having to give the drivers license to sign up for an exchange. I hate giving that out for anything. I keep hoping a stock market fund will be made for them

For two of the online exchange sites that were recommended to me they want everything. Social Security Number, proof of residence all that. That is probably what's been holding me back.

I think I tried one of those until I got to that part. Seemed like they wanted more info than you need to get a passport and I wasn’t going to give them all of that

Yeah, I did buy from a Bitcoin ATM and I had to scan my ID. The 13% fees were bad. I only got $20.00 worth as an experiment.

With how much it moves the 13 percent would be worth it to me if it didn’t require the ID number. Nothing good ever comes from throwing around ID and SS numbers everywhere with how much identity theft occurs

I was considering hitting up one of the Bitcoin ATMs in my area, but that would be a deal-breaker. Not because I have anything to hide, but because I have no interest in feeding an image of my ID to an unknown and unregulated electronic network.

On the other hand, if they aren't an official government agency and I'm not entering into a continuing contract or other business arrangement with them, I'm not sure what would stop me from scanning a card with Bullwinkle J. Moose's photo and e to however many places are required as an ID number.
