2017 BU ASE - JM Bullion $20 - US Mint $45

Why is the 2017 American Silver Eagle BU approx $20 from JM Bullion and $45 from the US Mint?

The mint issues are 'burnished' and not the same as BU eagles sold by bullion dealers. They are 'collectables' and not considered 'bullion' (even though they are). And yeah, the price difference stinks, but what's an collector to do?

 

Like mentioned they're different coins. Collectors cannot buy bullion ASEs directly from the mint.

 

Have you ever seen advertisements from the Mint for the purchase of Green Monster boxes by the general public?
