If we can count numismatic pieces, I'm quite sure some people's numbers could blow your mind . . .

Including all overhead, that would probably be... the wedding ring.

    Totally worth it.

Are you referring to my post?

    This was an 1885-CC Morgan, PCGS MS65, VAM-4, $1,250.00.

Does anyone recall what the 1919 Winged Liberty DDO went for on the Great Collections auction?

Guys, I think you're not understanding my post or I didn't explain it clearly enough.

I am asking when spot was the highest when you bought silver and gold. What was that highest spot you ever paid per ounce?

You're confusing us because you asked two, totally different questions. Your title and the first question asks for the most paid per ounce.

Okay, I guess, but surely that just boils down to the rather uninteresting question "when did you buy"? From the numbers you gave, you clearly missed out on all the fun in 2011-2013. In hindsight, good for you, but... so?

I definitely overpaid for a good portion of my silver (at over $20 an ounce). But, yes, I have been very good with my timing on gold.

Normally I wouldn't even step into this section of the forum, let alone post a reply. But when I saw this thread, well I kinda had to.

    Gold - $302.00 an ounce

9k. Probably worth a lot less now with 10 of them in the pop report and no longer being the top pop

Gee, I thought the price was a lot lower than that back in 1875.

I only used that coin to calculate what the price of silver would be. Since there is only .07234 ounces of silver in the dime, the price per ounce would be $124,412.50.
