That is what I spent most of yesterday doing. Lots of pots came into the house, a lot of herbs potted for the winter, and loads of stuff harvested from the garden and processed.
Huh -- I'm surprised you didn't get a freeze weeks ago. I guess my mental model of your location is off...
Me too... especially since the FAQ thread on numismatic acronyms has no mention of FRNs. Is it frequently recurring negotiations?
My wife and I get by on our SS entitlements, but just barely. Not one for crunching the numbers, I would agree with @Clawcoins on the price of gas today compared to whenever in the past, BUT there was a time not that long ago when I thought that price controls would keep a gallon of milk at or near $1.99; present day prices have it short of $6 by just a few cents around here. I would imagine people in the northeast have it even worse. Despite the ups and downs in PM prices, it is clear to me that by "investing" in savings for the 48 years of my working life paid off well for us. That would not be so without my own self-imposed savings begun in 1962. Like @Lemme Caution I practice constraint on coin purchases.
We had a mild frost last week (around 30 degrees) so we were able to cover everything. Tonight is supposed to be 20 degrees. It has not really be that cold and we did not light up a fire this year at all until two days ago.
Looks like a regular friday to me so far, If it gets below $16.49 I will preorder my panda's and maples. Has anyone seen a pre order for reg ASE's for 18
Mr. McGuire: I just want to say one word to you. Just one word. Benjamin: Yes, sir. Mr. McGuire: Are you listening? Benjamin: Yes, I am. Mr. McGuire: Plastics. Lithium. Benjamin: Exactly how do you mean?
Yeah but Lithium in hand isn't as pretty as Silver or Gold. and since it's the "season" now ... but I prefer my stock purchased 9 mths ago now ...
It may not be pretty but it is the place to be right now. I'm making a killing by putting a decent portion of my portfolio in it. Pick a diversified group of lithium stock and you will almost certainly win over the next few years. I recently made over 100% in one of them and only held it for 12 days. I posted about lithium a few days ago: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/silver-getting-crushed-today.276936/page-139#post-2898702
==> https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...on-ounces-of-gold-trades-trigger-price-plunge excerpt from above link After 11:10 a.m. on the Comex in New York almost 40,000 contracts, each representing 100 ounces of the metal, traded in a span of 10 minutes. That triggered a sell-off, sending prices down as much as 1 percent to $1,274.20 an ounce. .. .. “We didn’t see any headlines, any news to make gold drop $10, but it just did,” Miguel Perez-Santalla, a sales and marketing manager at Heraeus Metals New York LLC, said in a telephone interview. “It’s going with someone who has a huge position that can trigger stops and make the market move in a direction.” if my math is right, that 4 million ounces of gold sold in 10 minutes
For stackers, lithium could be licked when their PMs are getting a licking and metallic lithium is as shiny and pretty as silver. It is also light so you get more size per ounce, but there is tons of it in evaporated sea water plains. They extract lithium products from the Salton Sea area near here, as a by-products of geothermal, and it is a tough go to sell it and it is a waste material for the pipes and coolers. Li-ion batteries are the companies chant, but there is more than enough for that. Be cautious.
