My comments make about as much sense as Erol's do you not agree? I'm still trying to understand what on God's green earth he is talking about.

"Truble", don't think that I didn't see (your attempt of) sarcasm. But, it didn't hit me. Because, you are drawing a false analogy by resembling the coin to the flowers/leafs/etc. Coin (money) does not resemble anythings else exactly other than itself, that's called "self-similarity" in the mathematics of, eg, chaos.

Look, I am not talking empty here, see picture here https://www.cointalk.com/threads/coin-without-any-number-figure.299880/page-5

It is "1kurus" coin, in my hand in that picture, also in my pocket.
Having "1kurus", yes, can be similar to having "1tulip" and having "1cent" can be similar to "1iris", but, that's all. In 1tulip and 1iris, what is important is tulip (or, iris), not "1" as tulip/iris/etc are arts like objects rather than mathematical objects. This is different in case of "money". When I have "1kurus" in my pocket, it means, I also have "1cent" (or 1agora or 1penny or 1yen or etc) in my pocket. Because what is important in "money" is mathematics and it is "1" which is constant and unit value of money, all and any money. (ok, this post was a little off-topic, but, not totally off-topic, as importance of coins with value "1" was needed to be emphasized/highlighted.)

Thank you for schooling poor little me. Now, maybe you'd like to pontificate on the exact meaning of "wear." Does it only mean actual abrasion of surface details or does it also include rubbing, scratching, dinging, etc from contact with other coins. And, how would you differentiate the rubbing, scratching, dinging, etc of contact with other coins in a mint sealed bag from rubbing, scratching, dinging, etc of a coin going from a bank to a vendor to a cash tray to a customer's pocket? Is the surface damage by the mint different from surface damage by a store customer? School me dear sir so that i may further increase my vocabulary.

Btw, to those liking sarcasm.. If you are sarcasming, you are sarcasming with yourselves.
(such a sarcasm, about "1cent" coin, proves that you don't have "1cent" in your pockets... upto you... that doesn't make me feel good or bad... Ok, done here.)

The abrasions from contact with other coins are usually called bag marks, presence or absence of bagmarks is one of the factors that determines a grade within the Mint State range (ms 60-70). Wear is different.

Back in the day (1636) I sold a Semper Augustus Tulip in Holland for a thousand Guilders.

If you're asking what I'm talking about, I'm referring to erol's posts. I just can't make heads or tails of them (see what I did there?).

"Head or tail" or better to say like Germans say "head or number" can be said also like that "million dollar or billion dollar" or "quarter or dime", etc. But, there is no any other option for "1cent", always number "1"...

@Kentucky, you like sarcasm bigly? Ok, lets do althogether. You probably know, nowadays, in the world, nukes are put on the table and tokens of the nukes are in their hands of presidents. Now, a coin, 1cent, is thrown on the table... Will they step back inserting tokens into the nuke machines and will take the 1cent OR will they not take 1cent and will insert the tokens into the nuke machines?... That's a real "Head or Number"... Keep sarcasming (if you like nukes) or keep sarcasming (if you don't like 1cent)... In either case, it is sarcasm (if you like sarcasm.)

Am I the only one hearing Rod Serling?

In (almost) all seriousness, I think it was hit on the head earlier - google translate is loosing something in translation. One can only hope.

Google translated this "Neil Aya indi" as "Neil landed on the Moon"... (whatever you say, even if a lie, Google isn't correcting it. Poor Google.)
