Fairy anyone? They are magically delicious. Now do you see why I don't post many pics? (just awful) tablet cam.
Bundled together for $50. A "I didn't want to leave there empty handed impulse buy". And I am very glad I did after I did a little research on them. Not my usual type of theme, but one must be adaptable. (I'm just justifying buying them.) Funny, the more I look for an ancient centerpiece coin, the more modern stuff I find myself buying. Now when I find that "special" coin, I may not be able to afford it.
Nice pick up i have a couple of things coming in later today, this is one of The 1 OZ varieties i will be picking up soon but i do prefeir the Silver Bars over 10 OZ then the coinage but like anything else that might change.
Just announced, the third coin in the "Destiny" series is "The Shield" will post pics when available.
Whatever their design and mintage they will only ever be worth the same as generic silver rounds like the buffalo. They are cool looking though.
I think they'll be worth whatever someone's willing to pay, like any other collectable. These weren't meant to be an investment, rather a collector piece. See thread title.
Like I said they have a cool design as do many of the other items featured in this thread. but most dealers will only ever pay spot for them in the future in the secondary market. Its hard to sell even MS69 certified silver eagles for more than $2 over.
Typically, only people needing fast cash, or don't know what they have would sell these to a coin/pawn shop for spot price. The numismatic value far outweighs the intrinsic value.
