Sure it's "possible", but it can't happen by accident, not with mintmark on the master hub, as they are today. If it exists, it was done on purpose.
hey guys is this what you guy want, I took 2 pics of the full cent, I still have to work on it, should I start a new thread and put pics like this. help me out
or do you guys want it like this the 3 & 4 pic are the rim, the 5 pic is of flat 7, 6 pic is a die crack on top left shield line
kurt someone posted that pic online, I don't think it is real, that's why I posted it just to show you what people are doing
my uncle works as a sup at the phila mint, I talked to him last night and he said no way, he said someone photo shopped that pic.
he told me that the mint is aware of all the mistakes, but as of now they aren't doing anything about it. to me they don't care
What do you mean by "master die"? Master hubs are cut directly from digital files on a Swiss-made CNC machine. Then that hub is "single-pressed" to make working dies. What you're showing have to be random damage to working dies.
It's not what I want, per se. It was suggested to me, and seems to be the best way to get the most feedback and discussion.
Yup, Tony, it's possible to do "picture overflow". Chill. Take your time. We can wait. Have you compared 2016 cents magnified as closely as these?
This is a small date toned copper with a side ways S. It weighs 3.14, I read everything I could possibly read about this.. I was hearing business strike, but I read business strikes were zinc only.. your thoughts?
This here looks like damage after mint, but the coin revealed otherwise def, PMD. Is this a true double die? Even with all this other stuff going on?
