Silver may need months to consolidate...ditto gold....they had such an explosive move and the volatility too means it will take time. I'm not a TA guy or a chartist but I suspect that Carter Worth or Kate Stockton on CNBC would say the charts need to repair the damage from the January peaks. Use the weakness to your advantage.
10 year interest rate hit 4.70%. Metals traders head for the exits. War! What is it good for? Absolutely nothing Fortunately I’m 90% in cash with 0 debt and low taxes. Many Americans aren’t so well positioned
One should avoid debt like the plague. I am hoping for an upswing in silver prices so I can liquidate my hoard and eliminate my mortgage then I will be debt free. I really feel like a sucker every time I pay interest.
PURCHASING debt -- bonds -- is a smart move here. BINC should be a core holding for everybody. Paying interest if it's low is not a bad thing. It's why optimal corporate capital structures are not 100% equity. A family member has a $400,000 mortgage at under 3%. They just inherited about $1 MM. Rather than pay off the mortgage if they hate having it over them, I told them to defease the loan by simply putting $400,000 into various bonds and bond funds paying about 5.5-6%. If you can't sleep at night because of the mortgage, then you have basically paid it off AND you are getting about $12,000 (3% on $400K) a year via interest arbitrage. Let the system work for YOU !!
