Their ebay deals are sometime better than their regular prices online. Depending on what you are buying, you can also earn or use ebay bucks. Like right now, Liberty head double eagle AU for $1242. Its listed as a "coin" and not "bullion" so you also get $100 in ebay bucks with the current promotion. Net result is an AU gold double eagle for below melt!

JMB, SilverTowne, BPM, MCM, and other also have some pretty good deals. I check daily to see whats available.

To update my original post in my thread, I have also purchased from Modern Coin Mart, but only through 3rd party websites where they list. I have purchased individual coins from them about half a dozen times.

I've found a few things about them:

    Pros:
It's great that they sell on Amazon and Ebay when you have funds that must be spent in those places and you have only a small amount of money so you can buy a single ASE or Silver Maple. Price isn't awful, but certainly a few dollars over spot.

Cons: They spam your email with all sorts of marketing, whether you sign up for it or not. Fortunately, it seems to have stopped now once it became apparent how to opt out.

Cons: others have reported receiving phone calls from them. This would be a deal breaker for me if it ever happens.

Cons: Occasionally, the individual bullion coins purchased are less than perfect. This stings when you've already paid more than you normally would because you bought just one at at time.

    So, in conclusion:

    My Best: JM Bullion
    Second Best: Apmex

May or may not use again: Provident and MCM

What difference would it make if it's less than perfect.Your

It matters to me because I want my things to look pretty.

It matters to me because it matters to other people who may be potential buyers in the future.

However, in the big picture it doesn't matter a whole lot.

My favorite dealer is Harlan J. Burke. They have been in business for something like 130 years. They are a bit pricy but quality is never an issue. They have high res pics and most of it is online auction style. Happy hunting

GovMint called me Friday night. Wasn't too happy about that. I use them because in the beginning of the year they have great prices on ASE's. They then start creeping up and are higher than other sites. They asked me if I collected coins and I said yes. I was curious what their pricing was so I asked how much for a Carson City 1885 Morgan in MS64 was. The sales lady said $1,100. That's around an $800 coin. I told her that and she started arguing about it with me. I politely said good bye. I will continue to get ASE's from them in the beginning of the year solely because of great price. The emails don't bother me too much. The physical mail and phone calls do though, so I told them to stop sending me mail and calling me.

I recently received an email from JM Bullion letting me know I'm now eligible to use electronic checks for my purchases. Definitely a time saver. Can't wait to use the option!!!

I've used E-checks with Provident, and recently APMEX. Its nicer than paper checks, but it still takes time for the payment to clear. The only time you are saving is the couple days it would have taken to mail the paper check. Processing time is still about a week before shipping.

I don't mind the waiting. Just glad not to have to mail a paper check plus the waiting period starts sooner so it'll end sooner too!!

Ive never actually written and mailed a paper check. Ive only used my bank's online bill pay feature and just entered the dealer as a payee. The bank mails the checks off for me.

Echecks, in my opinion, is still a better option. The dealer has your info right away. So the holding period pretty much starts the day you place your order.

I've used SilverTowne twice for rounds. Liked their phone rep., didn't appear to wait for my check to clear and shipped very quickly. Both deals were A+.

I'll still say JMbullion and Provident, but I'm a little disappointed with shipping changes Jmbullion has made. Orders over $1000 used to always get UPS or Priority, now they'll often do just first class. That's frustrating to wait longer.

Who ever is cheapest gets my dough. Usually that provident, but I’ve had good service from jm,Golden Eagle, the Bullion exchange & several others. My online days may be done. I found a small local shop yesterday with very good prices. Their bu eagles were about .70 cheaper than any regular online price.

I've resorted to Flea Bay for cheap bullion. I have no allegiances anymore.

In the past I purchased a majority of my PM online. APMEX delivered the quickest but was slightly more expensive. Provident often has very attractively priced specials on stuff that I don't want but I did buy some Perth mint silver specials with no problems. JM Bullion has the most consistently low prices for their $100 "FREE" shipping minimum. SD Bullion is slightly more expensive than JM when you factor in shipping costs on every order.

Now I buy almost all of my silver and gold from one of 3 LCS's near me. I still buy the 5oz ATB bullion quarters on pre-order from JM Bullion as the local shops only have them from buy-backs.

If you order a little here and there from Provident, they do send out promo codes every once in a while.

Last time I got $10 off $100, so I bought 7 ASEs and got free shipping on top of that. Anyone who can provide those types of deals, I'll go with.
