I'd never buy from SD Bullion

Yes, they have low prices, but they also sell: ammunition, food, water purifiers, and other survival gear.

I mean, really? Do you want to buy your silver and gold from people who also sell random survival gear?!

It doesn't make me feel very confident in the business. They are involved in too many diverse things to make me feel like they specialize in any one of those things in particular. For me, I want a company that KNOWS their precious metals so well that they don't need to dilute their product by selling other random junk.

Yeah, I've bought from them before and got lousy service and haven't used them since. I refer to them as SDBullcrap.

From their point of view, it maybe that their main income is the survival stuff, and not as much the bullion they offer the survivalists, who maybe less discerning as to the bullion ( 'It's just silver! I am going to cut it into pieces for post-WWIII commerce.")

Sounds to me like good marketing. The items they sell are stockpiled by more people than you know in disaster prone areas, such as the Gulf Coast, which sweats hurricane season six months a year.

I've bought from them multiple times and have always had great service, low prices, and no minimum qty. I'll keep buying from them until they give me a reason not too. I don't care what else they sell. If it keeps them profitable, why not? Why should a company be locked into one market? I have often thought that if I was going to open my own business it would be as versatile as possible. People that want to spend money on bullion generally have money to spend on other things. More power to them IMO.
