Great coin. I have Michael Kittle Rare Coins bookmarked. If you like toned coins or anything dated 1909, he's your man.
Yeah, the saga begins here: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/post-your-lincolns.192928/page-216#post-2646218 The coin is gorgeous, but I was....afforded the opportunity to teach that the teacher sometimes needs to learn, too.
I know where you can get a damn fine one. Might have to take out a mortgage though Nice newp j. I can see why you like it. Looks like one of @jwitten's toned gold pieces. PS, I think your slab is early/mid-2000's right after they dropped the series and coin numbers
Wow!! Your 1910-S has been a test of patients since the beginning. First you had to pay for it, then have it shipped to the wrong PO and now the slab needs work. Then to top it all off your burn it with the Dremel. I think you ought to just sell it. LOL I do like the last images you posted of it. Very nice. I need to work on my lighting technique for these Lincoln Cent's in slabs, they are tough.
That sounds about right. I do like that it's in the full surround gasket as opposed to the pronged gasket.
Not happening, but I *might* trade it for the right 1858 Canadian Large Cent. It'd have to be a nice one. OTOH, I'm contemplating a 1910-S RB Grading Set; I already have the most expensive one.
I do love the animated picture - you just need to trot that one out everytime people ask about the cartwheel effect, especially when they follow up and say it only comes on Morgans... Nice
Thank you. This Lincoln has just an amazing amount of luster. I did another animated gif where the luster arms spin around the obverse like a pin wheel. But I like how this one is a little more subtle and shows off the color a little better.
