Day one on the floor, and I’ve managed not to spend any money yet.

An AU Chain cent is indeed impressive, but I thought the Ptolemaic octodrachm might be more in your lane.

 

I mentioned wanting to upgrade my rather “meh” 1899-S MS62 $20 Lib to a common-date 1800s coin in 63 or 64.

This 1895 NGC MS63 presented itself as a possibility- the upgrade would cost me $150 with the trade-in of my coin. I might do it, but think I’ll shop around a bit more.

Yes, and the 80-drachmae is only VG. I try to stay Fine and up for my collection.

 

Outside in the smokers’ section. Somebody peeled a price sticker off and stuck it on the table. We will never know what coin that was once stuck on, but it’s fun to guess.

I guarantee you that cigarette-scarred table is not worth $72K.

 

Day 1 done. Next stop, hotel, then dinner. Gotta get Randy his monster steak.

In the convention center parking lot. First Tesla Cybertruck I’ve seen in person that wasn’t that basic silver color.

What ugly things. Yeah, they’re kinda cool-ugly, but ugly.

 

Wooden hotel keys. Cool. That’s a first for me, despite being in the biz myself.
