    We tend to end up with a lot of scrap wire. I always tried to tell the guys under me to buy gold and silver with it. But, most of them just cashed it in. I always walk my jobsites all the time for scrap wire. I'll pick up some of the smallest pieces. The amount of scrap copper I find above ceilings is pretty good too. Plumbers used to leave a lot of scrap copper until it got to be too much. So, copper pipe and fittings don't usually get left behind. Same with electricians, they don't leave much scrap either.

    I don't sell #1 copper, unless it is stranded. I hoard it, in hopes of one day getting a crucible and pour setup to make some bars. Here is that hoard.
