Colombia (Spanish Colonial) ca. 1753-56 gold "cob" type escudo of Ferdinand VI, "S" assayer mark

NGC XF40. Cert. #6476382-026. "S" assayer mark (Santa Fe de Bogotá mint).

    Numista-88428, Krause-Mishler-28.

Ex-Shipwreck Coins & Artifacts, LLC, at the 2025 FUN show, Orlando, Florida, 11 January 2025.

Though it came from a dealer who specializes in shipwreck coins, this particular one does not have a known shipwreck provenance. It's possible it did come off a shipwreck, but if so, that information is unknown.
