I was searching through a mixed box of pennies from the bank and came across this 2021. I’ve seen other postings about an error being in the same general area but nothing where the date was affected. Any thoughts?

It's nice to be able to see all of the coin but it looks like damage just seeing part of the coin.

It may be an error but it would hold very little to no extra value. It could also be damage from the mint or circulation.

Here is a previous post about an anomaly in the same area on a 2021. Damage from circulation doesn’t seem like a candidate. There was an issue going on for so many other coins to have the same situation.

Strike through error. A struck-through error coin occurs when a foreign object gets between the coin planchet and the die during the striking process. This causes the coin to be struck through that object, leaving an impression or embedding the foreign material into the coin’s surface.

It did look like a strike through to me. ^^^^^ That would be an error
    and a keeper.
