Just curious if some of the experts or people in the know, think that the rumors about Banco Mexico only minting 300 2025 Silver BU coins is true or not? Its the word on the street. What's the chances they will mint more as the year goes?
I have seen the articles that mention the 300 mintage but others are saying to wait and see because this might just be speculation. Low mintages are one thing, but making only 300 of a bullion coin seems pointless (more expensive than just not producing any-unless they have a way to get a big chunk of the expected premium that would develop on the secondary market).
Be it GOLD or SILVER liberatades regardless of mintage, bring a pretty big premium and with even less being produced expect that premium to be even higher here's a couple of my examples both SILVER and GOLD.
Back to the OP and related commentary. I see now that there has been evidently one increase mintage - the uncirculated bullion Libertad Onza mintage has been raised to 500. Even with the excess of 2024s, I for one and am a bit dubious as to what the final mintages will be. There certainly are a BOATLOAD for sale on eBay, with what may very well be shill bidding as any number have been relisted & this not a good sign for at least the demand side of the equation. Will keep an eye out.
