I got this at the bank in late Dec 2024. I always keep an eye out for them. Not exactly a 1795 ms Flowing Hair (which I considered buying once), but this came at an excellent price - face value. Can't beat that.

I've got two nice coins less than $30 each, ROOSEVELT DIMES, TYPE 2, CLAD I dont have them in-hand yet, but I think they have nice matching toning, and oddly even sequential cert numbers.
I picked this one up for less than 50 and even included shipping. It's a VAM of some critter, I couldn't figure out this one. Just sent another batch today to John @messydesk for attribution including this one. Seemed like a good price. MS62 maybe? Probably won't get it graded. @Paddy54, zoom in on this one. Looks like she's got whiskers on her nose. Should I have dipped in Nair?
I'm not seeing that. No clashed N railroad tracks, no transfer clash to neck. I see a lot going on, just not those PUPs. There is a line just under the upper crossbar of the one, line under one. Some raised metal on the reverse where wreath clash marks often occur, but not usual organized V clashes. And then there are the nose whiskers. I don't have a clue. I'll know soon enough, within a couple of weeks.

$45 shipped, just under the limit for this thread. Going into my Kennedy Collection of examples I like.
I owned one of these once, and I considered it the most impressive looking modern coin that I have ever seen; a very cool coin!!!
I am slowly cobbling to together the 50th anniversary versions. I will tell you its harder than it should be due to the fact I can't stand the "special" slab versions PCGS and NGC do. I just want the normal / simple slabs. For whatever reasons, coins like these tend to be bulk submitted with the special slabs. I will also note that PCGS calls these MS coins but to me what NGC does makes way more sense for these "enhanced" versions. NGC considers these to be High Relief "Specimen" coins, with the "SP" prefix. Thoughts?
I agree with you that "SP" fits better. But I might like the 'EU" Anacs uses even more since SP makes me think of the satin finish mint sets and this is a completely different finish. Here is an Anacs example from eBay:
I think MS, SP, and EU all fit towards the 3; however, I don't think "DCAM" is the right designation. I like ANACS, but a DCAM 2014 like this should be a DMPL across the board (or DPL if you're NGC).
