Costco GOLD hunting trip ( let’s play a game ) and what I have learned.

Here are a couple of things I have picked up along the way when buying GOLD at
Costco.

First, they usually get there shipment there
in St.George on Wednesday and Thursday
at the very latest and they bring in 25 OZ,s
at a time usually in PAPMP 1oz bars and have only seen where this was different
where they actually were selling 100 Gr
bars and this was only one time, my schedule has recently changed so it’s hard
for me to get there on a Saturday and they are all but sold out by Sunday and I usually
check the price and availability before I go
but most times regardless.

Secondly, premiums are set upon delivery
to the store and oddly enough they do not
change one way or another even if the market shifts, currently the premium is $70
per oz but I have found that premium completely erased ! for example this week
the advertised price was $15 below spot which wipes away any premiums so there
paying you $15 to buy GOLD in essence and have seen even more dramatic then
that by as much as 75% now that’s just
impressive !

In comparison, here locally in Vegas the lowest premium is $143 and the highest
is $250 per oz so pretty excessive in comparison and premiums are real time.

So thought we can keep track on premiums
and related costs.

I just called Costco and there waiting for another shipment, current price $3020.23

 

I can't think of any other large retailer that sells gold that close to spot, never mind locking the price at the time of shipment (so that you can sometimes buy below spot).

I've never really been tempted to buy a Costco membership, but if I were looking to load up on gold, this would make it a no-brainer.

 

as stupid as it sounds, thats what they do and this is how they operate which is good for the people that buy GOLD on a regular basis

 

Just called Costco and there already out of GOLD !! and the gal at the administration desk said she wasn't sure when they were going to get anymore in will be calling tomorrow currently GOLD is at $3,055.28 so if they do get more in tomorrow they will probably base it off that price if nothing else might just go over to my LCS
and just pick up a buffalo even though it has a double premium over Costco at least all be moving toward my goal.
