Here is my take: A month or so ago, I got a coupon for $20 off, or something similar. It said not to be used for coins or paper money, but only in the bullion category. Well, it did not work for ANY coins, just like ebay bucks is doing now. I called, and they said sorry, no coins, the wording must be wrong. Well, I am afraid ebay bucks has gone that way. My guess is they will just update the wording to say no coin or currency, period. Time to figure out what to do with these bucks.

ugh, my grandma, before she died, spent hundreds of hours searching cornfields in central IN to find arrowheads.

I am going to find some buy it now coins, and ask if they can change the category. It's either that, or finally buy a drone.

It just worked for me (bought an Ike in the coins & paper money category).
If anyone had issues earlier with ebay bucks, try it again now.

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

Buy something like blank DVDs or printer cartridges or expensive batteries, especially when they're free postage, or packages of underwear or socks, etc. Just focus on what you regularly buy at Walmart or Target, etc. You should have no trouble using them up.

Or, ask your neighbors if there's $100 items they buy, like tools or sports gear or clothing or gourmet food. Collect the money in advance, you buy it, use your bucks, and carry the parcel over to their house. Not ideal, but it works. You could even start buying next year's Christmas presents, especially during 3 days when they give double or triple bucks (I think we'll see a lot of that), etc. Ebay bucks was a stupid idea to begin with. It works in your local grocery store, but not in a global online auction. Remember Top Value or S&H Green Stamps at groceries and gas stations? Same idea.

On rainy Saturdays, if you even hinted you were bored, your mom would dig out the bushel of trading stamps that hadn't been pasted in the books yet, and presto, you had an hour's yucky job. :yack::arghh:

I thought the change was intentional. I'm glad to find out that it was only a glitch.
