I actually bought some at the lows too, but ASEs. I get the lowest price I can which means I don't have option on the years. But this last time I got 1988s, 1992s, 2003s, 2005s, 2010s. I'm curious if any of those years have premiums on their own.
I'm curious how sub $16 spot is going to affect the main ASE sellers out there - Provident, APMEX, JMBullion, etc.
at least with Provident it looks like their general pricing hasn't really changed unless you buy 500+ ASEs. Though their buyback price has dropped.
Usually takes a few weeks to drop the prices. Sometimes you can find dealers on ebay selling lower right away.
Interesting... have had this date marked in my calendar for quite a while as my coin dealer visit date... I wonder if their sell prices will drop accordingly? Last time I was there, I was able to get coins at 13.5x face.
4.5 percent drop the day after a rate increase. With the Fed planning three more hikes, I think the downside risk is substantial. Then again, the Fed said a year ago, there would be four this year. There was one. IMHO, the Fed would do the economy a service by not predicting what they are going to do. They don't have a crystal ball to see what unexpected events -- such as Brexit -- could occur.
I can buy junk silver at 12xface. Should I buy right now as much as I can or wait it out to see if prices lower. Thanks guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No one knows what will happen. With that said I would put myself in a position to buy some now and still be able to buy some in the near future should prices drop further. That's just what I would do.
as mentioned ... no one knows. But the dollar is surging and the crazy "move your money this second and fill my pocket with transaction fees" brokers are divesting of bullion and putting their monies into the Dollar. So it will continue to fall. how far? who knows. I would though shore up your cash reserves until you feel the nagging pain to buy.
i bought 2 gold sovereigns last week, and 2 more this week. And I've stashed cash away for the next few months to ride it out.
It depends. If it's a dealer's junk box where you can cherry pick out the good stuff, then by all means. If not, then don't go overboard.
Maybe we should be buying lead instead...? http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/lead_historical_large.html#6months
