I have already let some of you know when might have their packages delivered this week, but perhaps the post office might be a bit optimistic on their time expected (as they give it to the person who mails it), so if you don't get your package by the time I provided, just let me know and I will go see what the status is then.
If I get a box that big, filled with numismatics. I would feel atop the world. That would be a lot of coins. Nice snow filled Santa Photo Kasia.
Just looked at the postal tracking and a couple of recipients I have notified have their SS gifts in their general areas now, so maybe within a day or two, may get them. The magic of great memories and coin community
This year I got a Santa who’s obviously a “get it done early” type. My incoming package arrived December 5th. Our new mailman is obviously not afraid to come into our fenced-in yard with the dogs. I found the package on the front porch. That made it safer from passing thieves than if it had been left outside the gate like our past carriers would have done, but inside the gate it was unprotected from the dogs. The outer shipping box got a bit gnawed on one corner, but the inner contents were thankfully undamaged. The larger wrapped gift within feels like a book through the wrapping paper, but it’ll be 20 days before I know what it is! PS- kudos to my CT Santa for getting my first name right and not calling me “Robert”. My outgoing package is all boxed up and ready to go, but I have not yet made it to the PO to send it off.
I'm usually a "get it done early" type of guy but this year we had some Snow this week! Yea!! Anyways. It will be going out this weekend, hopefully. I'll have to do some research first but I'm sure whatever I send, the person will be overjoyed!
How many Dogs do you have? I have as you probably know, a Chihuahua that just loves his toy/ snack treat./ Kong "spread" in a can. Looks like this.... You put squeeze this spreadable stuff inside and watch them "Go to town". Funny actually.
It has its moments. Yesterday I dropped something which rolled under the bed. When I rummaged around under there I did not find the lost item but came out with two dustbunnies that were literally the size of real bunnies. In other words, two wads of fur so huge you could’ve made a whole new critter out of them! We sacrifice a certain amount of home cleanliness by having so many critters-and forget about having decent furniture- but it’s a tradeoff we’re willing to make. Usually.
We have the many little dust bunny problems that have to be taken care of every day. I think the Cat is the bigger of the culprit though. I ordered him a Cat scratcher lounge and a Cat condo. Merry Xmas! LOL. He damaged my 2 couches, and one $900 recliner that I had in my "Caveman room". He scratched up the arms some and the couches are a disgrace! That might be next years gift to my wife. Shhh! I don't even have company over because of it. Oh well, no one comes over anyways....
I'm headed to a coin show next week. I'm going to find something for my recipient and hopefully myself there!
Was at Meijers today and they had some dog toys on sale, so I got two of these which I will have for my dog at Christmas. I really need to retire some of the other ones that are favorites but are either not much more than bits of cloth now, since my dog loves to tear the stuffing out of his favorite toys. Retire = thrown in the trash.
UPDATE: Having made no recent purchases, and not recognizing the address, I incorrectly assumed that this had been my SS gift. I came in this evening and discovered a box, weighing over 6LBS addressed from my Secret Santa! Thanks to my SS, I eagerly await the day when I can open this gift. Want to find out what was in the other package?
My outgoing package shipped yesterday morning (12/7), and @Kasia has the tracking information. Expected delivery on Wednesday the 11th.
Wow! And I thought the package I sent out (6 pounds, 9.7 ounces) was heavy! Somebody must've sent you some bricks! LOL Probably cost your Santa some $$ to ship, too. My outgoing one cost nearly 20 bucks, just for Ground Advantage. The USPS sure has gotten pricey. But I digress- such is the way of the world. 'Tis what it is.
