I found this ad in an online yardsale group I belong to. I'm not sure what to make of it, since I've never seen such a thing before. The ad only states "1oz silver - 999+ Troy Ounce Silver" with a price of $25. Photo is kind of dark. Is this what the going rate is? Good deal or not? Can these things be scams or not as pure as advertised? Any way of knowing purity by looking at it in person? Weighing it? Etc? I'm going to err on the side of caution and not buy it since I've never dealt with such a thing. Plus it's being sold by an individual not a reputable company. But I wanted to get everyone's opinion and insight here. Thanks for looking.
With silver at $18.45, $25 is kind of on the steep side, and with the other things you've listed, I wouldn't buy it.
I know it is. Just sayin' if OP likes it, all is well worth adding it to his collection. As an aside, I pointed out that a real Morgan will come up short in terms of silver composition.
I's say it's most likely real, but obviously we can't be certain from a photo. I've seen this style bar being sold in many different places. These are available with a guarantee, shipped right to your doorstep for a few dollars cheaper from vendors like Apmex, JM Bullion, Provident Metals, MCM, and many reputable Ebay stores.
She hands out infractions, and obviously, you ain't married Jim. But I suspect you were at one time.......or maybe now.....or maybe I don't know.
