Next up. The Lot photo only had the Rev showing, which is pretty generic. I was happy to see who was on the obv. Clodius Albinus. As Caesar, AD 193-195. AR Denarius. Rome mint. Struck AD 193. D CLODIVS ALBINVS CAES Bare head right / PROVID AVG COS Providentia standing left, holding scepter and baton; globe at feet to left. RIC IV 1a; RSC 58 I didn't have an Albinus in my collection, yet.
Thirdly (and pretty ugly) Not really a surprise and not in the best condition; horribly smoothed and tooled. BUT, it's Pupienus. Pupienus AE Sestertius. IMP CAES M CLOD PVPIENVS AVG, laureate, draped & cuirassed bust right / P M TR P COS II P P S-C, Pupienus (or Genius of the Senate) standing left, holding branch & scepter.
@iamtiberius are all these coins from the same lot? Some pretty darn nice coins from a lot if you ask me.
