I did research on this coin and looked at the examples picture, one was a stable embedded into a penny. i think this coin is one? What say you? Retained struck through?
No That's an altered Cent. Someone took a wire cutter or metal snips and made marks into the coin. Not a mint error of any kind!
Hold on.. This is the exact same Cent you created a thread for not to long ago.. we already gave you the answers! Here is the other thread from December 7th.. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1963-with-embedded-metal.409107/
I would suggest studying up on real errors, Error-Ref.com , you can save yourself a lot of time and aggravation if you know what to look for before looking! Good luck.
@Real Slick, What say you? Did you forget the friendly advice I sent you in a PM or just choose to ignore it? BTW... Archaic: "What say you?" Modern: "What is this?" "Is this an error?" Keep looking and good luck!
Did you notice that this is his 2nd thread on the same exact Cent. His first thread was on December 7th.
Nope. Evidently, the OP hopes to find someone who doesn't know as much as the the CT membership does . . .
Seems like many people are broke and desperate these times. Perhaps we need a judge "Judy" category to lead the coin jurors.
Yes I did post this coin before and did some research and found a penny that, looks just like the one I found, that is why i posted it again, it was with Error-ref.com and another at esty. and i thought i had something right. Keep up the the schooling, i'll get it right. Thanks to all of your replies.
Sorry, but Etsy and Utube are full of garbage in terms of the subject on coins and many other things. JMO and observations...
