Wonderful OP of Caracalla!!! I think he was totally misunderstood........he simply liked sucking lemons as he sat for portraits
Wait it just occurred to me that I have a similar bronze coin to the OP's. So it's not a tetradrachm or from Syria but it has Caracalla and an eagle with a wreath... Marcianopolis, Caracalla, AD 198-217 AE27, 10.2g, 6h. Obv.: ΠIOC AVΓ ANTΩNINOC; Laureate head right, seen from behind. Rev.: YΠ KYNTIΛIANOY MAPKIANOΠOΛITΩN (Quintillianus magistrate); Eagle standing left on globe, head right, holding wreath.
Anybody know what the proportions of silver to copper these tets were made of and for how much would they traffic in the market place vis a vis the contemporary imperial denarius? Would these coins have circulated in the Latin West?
Ummm, is my Syrian Eagle Elagabalus Tet allowed to join the Caracalla party? Syria - Elagabalus - AR Tetradrachm 219-220 AD Diameter: 26 mm Weight: 12.80 grams Obverse: Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right Reverse: Eagle standing facing on ground line, head left, holding wreath in beak; D - E on either side, star between legs ... he is always complaining that he never gets to meet new coins ... => oh, and he brought a box of angry bees as a cool present

Hey I snuck in Herennius Etruscus and a bronze provincial from Marcianopolis and didn't get any demerits so I think you'll be fine!
