Hello, everyone, and welcome to the latest giveaway. This will be another one of my "pick your prize" contests, so you can hopefully win something you'll like.

The prize for this contest will be your choice of an item from one of the following three categories.

Pick one of the following lots:

    Lot 1- Ancient Category

Roman Empire: ca. 238-244 AD silver antoninianus of Gordian III, Hercules reverse
    [IMG]

    Lot 2- World Category

(2 coins) 1929 Venezuela silver 5-Bolívares & 1921 Germany (Saxony): notgeld 50 pfennig (in red Meissen porcelain)

    Lot 3- United States Category

United States: 1916-S Buffalo nickel, SEGS F15, with "No F" error (no designer's initial)
    imageedit_1_3801655271.png

To enter: all you have to do is say that you want in, and specify which lot you would like if you should happen to win the random drawing. Also a word or two about why you want it, or some other coin-related comment of your choice. Only one entry post per contestant, please.

You may enter on someone else's behalf if you do not desire the prize for yourself. Simply state who you would like to receive it, should your entry win the drawing.

The drawing will be held sometime on or after July 1, 2023, depending on my schedule. You may consider the contest open for entries until such time as I have posted the final result of the random drawing.

Totally free: the contest is free of charge, open to everyone, with free worldwide shipping. The only obligation is that I ask that if you win, please post to this thread later, when you have received the prize, so that we'll know you got it (that helps me keep track).

    Good luck!

    Numismatic regards,

    ~Robertson ("Rob") Shinnick ("LordM")

    I want in!

First to respond! Random number generator NEVER picks #1.

As first responder, I'll tempt fate by selecting prize #1, another ancient to spend months in transit.

    EDIT: see post #32.

I should probably explain to the others that Gordian III silvers are affectionately referred to as “roaches” by the Ancients collectors on these boards, since they’re so relatively plentiful. But they usually come nice, and are affordable as Roman silver goes, so a lot of folks actually enjoy “roaches”.

I'm in! Lot 3 please. I want this coin because I don't have many Buffalo's and definitely not an 1916S.
    Thanks for the contest!:)

I'd like @potty dollar 1878 to accept this entry to help make up for him not being the first to respond to this contest. I'm sure he's devastated. Hopefully this entry for him alleviates the distress. ;)
