These are not intended for circulation, right? Looks like you found this roll searching? For what it's worth, I have one for my type set, and I also have the same Gerber Scale design. Reverse proof though. The RP coins have some pretty limited mintages. I do agree that the design is lacking. And horrible as a reverse proof, honestly:
I agree. Not much of a design but a keeper anyway!! Never seen one before. Had to look it up in myRed Book. Lol
I own this coin And CoinTalk link https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1-00-american-innovation-polio-vaccine-ngc-sample-slab.364604/
@1stSgt22 ! Looks like a Coin used in a casino. Probably Foxwood's or Mohegan Sun Casino. Anyway, someone's loss.
I do a lot of CRHing. I do really like the obverse of the coins... and I own an American Innovators one (as shown by Mountain Man). However, I am not a fan of the "flat" space. Thinking of the "new" (2006-pres) Nickels, I think all of the empty space makes imperfections painfully apparent. I'd prefer it to be filled in, if it would hide nicks and scratches better. Maybe it's just me.
I just got that one in a random (customer-rolled?) roll from the bank. Very good condition. Trying to research if it has value to anyone. [Guess that I can't attach images, yet.]
