    It's been cleaned to death or polished long ago, but I found this one in a old Whitman flip where it had re-toned pretty incredibly. B-9a variety with the big obverse die crack.

    I was itching to play the lottery so I just bought this 1940S in an old PCI holder, holdered MS65. Below are the seller pics. The grading is meaningless and the photos are pretty terrible. I figure there is a 50/50 shot this coin will be a beautiful monster in hand.

    That is nice. Usually old pci slabs impart a more pastel color and that merc is on fire!

    That's wicked. I'd love to have a double sided toned trade with decent eye appeal in a hotel soap slab. Nice get santini :)
