Thanks I was looking at that one and many others, mostly on Amazon as Prime provides free delivery .. of course you have to make sure the price isn't jacked to compensate.
If you are looking for a real heavy and top rated burgalar proof safe, there are quite a few used ones on ebay but some of them weigh 1500 lbs. and more. Now your talking a big freight charge as well.
I keep my coins in a room temperature case in my room. They're quadruple layered if i think of it. 2x2>sheet>binder>case. I'm not worried about them toning, they are all clean. Mostly all old coins I buy (at least 80 years old) are all G-EF grades. (Mostly VG)
finally found the thread ==> https://www.cointalk.com/threads/disaster-need-help-please.267208/ I've kept stuff in my 1991ish Sentry safe for, well 25 years with no visual issues. It wasn't a cheap one either and is very heavy on it's own. Now the one I bought at Walmart last year I can carry around with me and it's a 1.2cu safe that is fire and water proof. But I don't trust that one for much of anything and it only contains misc non-expensive things/documents. I'm also looking for a larger and deep gun safe for misc items. Those are 500lbs and up. Maybe I should just buy a surplus Sherman tank. A nice safe, a nice bunker and built-in anti-threat deterrents.
Whatever safe or container you store your coins in, it wouldn't hurt to throw a few of these in with your coins. http://www.amazon.com/OSG-40-Silica-Dehumidifier-Desiccant-Orange/dp/B015OT106O
