Should I dust off my Trophy shelf Paddy? I want to say they graded this more conservative due to the rarity of the date
Paddy, I think u may want to send that in for 're-consideration! I'm sure it would be worth it, similar to the '27 peace I just picked up
If you bought it slabbed, you did great. If you sent it in yourself, you got robbed! That has the look of at least a 64+.
You like her huh? Nice strike only a hit over her eye. I picked up a sweet 1853 arrow half dine today for $20. I already have one but it had nice clashes on the reverse .
The coin was purchased slabbed, it is truly under graded by 1 to 2 points. There's nothing generous about this coin other then I got a great deal on it.
I came late to this party, but would have guessed 63. It is a fair strike, and the reverse isn't that clean. No way it touches 64. It isn't "truly under graded by 1 to 2 points."
That's your option ,and again you are in titled to it. But would of,should of,could of.....are all pointless after the grade has been posted. And again the images are not the best I admit, however in hand this is no less than a 64.
I beg to differ. The reverse looks nothing like a 64. Anything in hand looks better---you asked for opinions and you got one. If you don't want opinions, don't post GTG postings, and then get ticked off because people don't agree with you. The reverse shows a poor strike, and has lots of chatter on it, so as to preclude a 64 grade. They got it right.
Someone has a really bad attitude. I gave specifics as to why it isn't a high grade uncirculated coin, and they are quite specific, and founded on knowledge, and appearance of the coin. Doesn't matter to me, as the coin is a 63, no matter how much you want it otherwise. Want a 64? Then go buy a 64. lol
