1978 DDO Lincoln and Rev crack

I looked at VV with this 1978 Lincoln. Die chip below a 8. I want to say cracked die coming from above that 8 but not sure. Stood out to me especially “WE”. Also crack on reverse. A MAD? Ty!

Are you sure there is a crack kinda looks like a stain to me.

Thank you! Well it is strange. I tried to put the area where the copper is lifted to the right of the bottom of building. It starts all around there.

Lol! Well you can tell if it is raised or not. Or if it’s a stain etc.

 

I tend to use a rose thorn. Green is better to try and not disturb luster or remove the toning.

Looks more like lamination than a die crack. The die crack would be raised. If a die crack were that wide it would be very easy to tell if it were raised or not.

There is a possibility it could be a defective planchet.
